Leila Armstrong

Leila has over ten years’ experience in full cycle recruitment, both as an internal Executive Recruitment Consultant for the Westpac Group, and as a National Manager for an International charity. Leila brings extensive recruitment and people leadership experience. Building upon her recruitment experience in the banking sector, Leila has specialised in recruiting management and leadership positions in the not-for-profit and Christian School sector.

As a National Manager for an international not-for-profit, Leila has led and built large scale national volunteer teams and served on executive leadership teams across Australia and New Zealand, facilitating cultural change and organisational effectiveness across the teams under her leadership.

Leila has developed extensive experience in HR policy, staff, and volunteer management systems. In addition, Leila holds several qualifications, including a diploma in counselling and post graduate qualifications in leadership. With Leila’s years of experience and expert knowledge, she is ideally positioned to support your team with all their HR needs.

Bill Rusin

Bill comes with extensive experience in Private Christian Schooling. After training as a Science Teacher, he worked with the Australian Inland Mission fulfilling positions at several schools as Head of Science and Deputy Principal before moving to Sydney as the Principal of a Private Christian School.

Bill’s passion and strategic focus is in developing Transformational Cultures; creating an educational environment that not only teaches skills but brings about lifelong transformation for each individual. Backed by multiple master’s Degrees in Cultural Leadership and Transformational Leadership, Bill’s most recent appointment as the Executive Head of a Sydney Anglican Schools Group enabled him to successfully mentor the leadership team through the transition phase of their long-term strategy.

Internationally, Bill has mentored a group of Cambodian School Leaders, in addition to speaking at numerous conferences in countries including England, South Korea, Indonesia, China as well as Australia.

Bill’s experience also extends to governance in Private Schools, Tertiary Education providers and the NFP sector, having served as Chair and Deputy Chair in multiple organisations.

In addition, Bill has consulted on several external advisory committees to Education Faculties for a range of Christian tertiary education providers.

Shirley Gray

Shirley is an executive human resources leader with a career spanning over 30 years. Shirley has experience across multiple sectors including mining, power generation, smelting, construction, tertiary education on and aged care/retirement living. Working as a HR generalist Shirley has built a depth of experience in change management in complex and highly unionised work environments, HR strategy, industrial relations, organisational design, stakeholder engagement, workplace culture change and leadership coaching. With over 15 years in senior leadership positions, Shirley has the skills and experience to lead and advise your organisation through the most complex HR challenges.

Rowan Armstrong

With extensive executive level leadership experience in the Christian Not-for-Profit and Foreign Aid industry, Rowan provides comprehensive business and leadership knowledge to each of the organisations he works with.

Rowan started his career in business management and civil engineering before moving into executive leadership. Rowan has led several not-for-profit organisations through cultural change, business and staff development programs throughout Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.

Rowan brings a depth of understanding and skill for positive cultural change, which has facilitated team growth and expansion across large scale staff and volunteer programs wherever he has led. This is highlighted by his time in Cambodia where he spent 2 years mentoring the Khmer leadership team from a local charity through the transition from foreign leadership to become their own locally directed Khmer executive team.

Rowan is a visionary leader who specialises in change management and team development. Rowan holds a master’s degree in leadership with post-graduate research in Emotional Intelligence and Leadership Development. He is also accredited to provide psychometric testing using Harrison Assessments, a leading Australian personality and behavioural assessment tool for staff development and recruitment. Having managed multi-national not-for-profit organisations, led national staff and volunteer teams of over 5000+ people, Rowan understands the challenges of leading teams to growth and success.
